a708a7c10a prepare stuff for the 1.10 release notes 
(fendrin requested being already able to work on it)

this is based on the 1.8 stuff and just commenting out basically
everything in the template that was 1.8 specific

the current images in images/ are the old ones, please replace them
with recent ones once they are available

90dbf9cdeb check for existance of correct .pot file... 
...instead of po/ folder (which could be empty of the textdomain name
could be "wrong" for our script)
