a90f949fc3 reverts commit 16791, it doesn't fix bug #9144 
and it makes the halo of the MoL look bad when moving. (Might need to
be reapplied after 1.3.3 has been tagged but then needs some rework.)

6bde5613ca The map editor is working again. 
Problem turned out to be a missing initialization call that had the
effect of making the editor ignore [binary_path] declarations in .cfg
files.
